Senior Accountant

THE ROLE

New Guards Group is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant, Retail to join its Administrative Department, who will report directly to the Accounting Manager, Retail.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assist in performing routine accounting tasks and related activities for the company's retail stores;
• Maintain precise records of financial transactions in the general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable;
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reports for accounts receivable and accounts payable, including preparing weekly payment schedules;
• Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of sales, cash receipts, bank statements, and credit card transactions in the general ledger;
• Assist in the month-end accounting closure process by reviewing accruals, prepayments, and depreciation entries;
• Review intercompany transactions, investigating and resolving any discrepancies that arise;
• Assist in the review of financial statements;
• Engage in daily communication with internal and external business partners.

WHO YOU ARE

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
• At least 2 years of previous experience as an accountant, better if in retail/fashion industry;
• English proficiency;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software;
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities.
