Transformer Field Specialist – Power Transformers

Location: Europe (Flexible within EU region)

Role Summary

The Transformer Field Specialist will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical services for power transformers across customer sites in the EU. This includes installation, commissioning, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of transformer systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute field service activities for power transformers, including:
  • Installation and commissioning
  • Routine and emergency maintenance
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Interface with customers to ensure service excellence and technical support.
• Perform inspections and testing of transformer components (e.g., bushings, tap changers, insulation).
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Document service activities and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Support training and mentoring of junior engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven field experience with power transformers (preferably in utility or industrial settings).
• Strong understanding of transformer design, operation, and maintenance.
• Willingness to travel across the EU region.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English; additional EU languages are a plus.
