About the Role

As a Packaging Engineer, you will manage new NPI projects, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and creating packaging specifications for primary, secondary and tertiary items.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop packaging designs for new and existing products, including e‑commerce.
• Source and evaluate packaging materials with supplier support, considering cost, sustainability and performance.
• Develop specifications, conduct trials to ensure compliance with all requirements and regulations.
• Collaborate with marketing, category, R&D, quality and manufacturing teams.
• Lead laboratory and line trials and transport tests during implementation.
• Manage packaging projects from conception to production, including timelines and budgets.
• Maintain all packaging documentation and records.
• Identify and deliver packaging cost‑savings initiatives.
• Support the Quality Team to improve consumer experience and customer requirements.

Experience

• At least 3 years in the packaging industry.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes and testing procedures.
• Excellent communication, project management and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with PLM, SAP and design software.
• Proficient problem‑solving methodology.
