Biogas Production Operations Manager

AD Energy Recruitment is supporting a leading biogas developer in Italy as they look to hire a key figure within their Production & Operations function. This role sits at the heart of plant performance, ensuring safe, reliable, and optimised operations across multiple biogas assets.

The position focuses on end-to-end Plant Management, with strong emphasis on Operations & Maintenance execution, contract oversight, and ongoing performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities, ensuring deadlines, compliance, and contractual obligations are met
  • Supervise the technical plant team, acting as the main point of contact between local operators, HQ, and external service providers
  • Manage forecasting, planning, coordination, and reporting of scheduled, predictive, and corrective maintenance
  • Monitor plant performance remotely, ensuring the correct and safe operation of biogas production assets
  • Ensure all necessary resources, materials, and equipment are available and properly controlled
  • Coordinate emergency response and operational teams for plant fault management
  • Support in drafting and managing O&M contracts, including updates and compliance

  • Collaborate with the construction team during new plant build and commissioning phases

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (any relevant discipline) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar operational or industrial roles
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience drafting and managing O&M contracts
  • Experience in the biogas/biomethane sector is a strong advantage

Carriers Operations Manager

To strengthen our ability to provide the Fortidia Network with business growth and operational excellence, we are introducing a new role within the Fortidia Global team: the Carriers Operations Manager. This role is responsible for managing the operational aspects of relationships with global carriers, from the day-to-day oversight of existing services and processes to the introduction of new ones, with a strong focus on efficiency and network value.

The Fortidia Carriers Operations Manager will serve as the primary operational liaison between Fortidia and Carriers. This is a highly collaborative role requiring coordination with internal stakeholders across countries and functions to ensure excellence in delivery shipping operations throughout the Fortidia Network.

The Fortidia Carriers Operations Manager will report to the Data and Carriers Relationships Director.

Key Responsibilities

This role operates at the intersection of internal teams and external partners and is focused on operational excellence, innovation, and strategic relationship management:

  • Global Carriers Relationship Management: Act as the primary operational liaison for our global shipping partners for all the operations-related matters. Own the daily relationship management, troubleshooting, and new service and process launch coordination, ensuring that the network complies with carrier framework agreements, and follows required security and compliance procedures.
  • Innovation & Process Automation: Lead high-impact projects to improve operational processes leveraging technology, including AI automation and CarrierS API integration to enhance scalability and profitability across the network.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner closely with internal stakeholders – mainly Country Managers, Network Sales & Ops Managers and Technology colleagues – to align carrier operations stream with local business needs and global strategy, ensuring smooth Network adoption. Coordinate carrier-related credit collection activities, ensuring effective mediation by country teams between the Network and the carriers.
  • Impact Measurement & Validation: Collaborate closely with the BI & Analysis Team to define, evaluate and validate impact of any new process, service, or operational change implemented within the Network.
  • Performance & Resolution: Ensure operational accuracy from the Global Carriers (including invoicing and service quality) and drive corrective action plans to resolve issues, leveraging the formal governance structure where necessary, also activating current escalation matrix where needed.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management / Logistics, Industrial Engineering or Economics.
  • Deep Logistics Expertise: 10 year proven background in global shipping, logistics, and carrier sales and operations. Knowledge of international regulatory compliance (e.g. customs, trade).
  • Stakeholder & Negotiation Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage complex external carrier relationships and align diverse internal, cross-functional teams globally.
  • Process Innovation & Technology Acumen: Demonstrated success leading process improvement projects (e.g., implementing API integrations, AI-based new tools, Ops automation).
  • Project Leadership: Proven ability to successfully lead and manage complex, global projects from conception through to a successful, operational launch.
  • Excellent master of written and spoken English.
  • Collaborative spirit, with appreciation of diverse perspectives.

Sales & Operations Planning Manager

Industrial multinational company is conducting a confidential search for a Sales & Operations Planning Manager. For our Italian plant in Baranzate (MI), which specialises in the production of oral solids, we are looking for an experienced and qualified professional to fill the position of Manufacturing Department Manager within the Production, Pharma Maintenance & Transfer department, reporting directly to the Head of Production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily manufacturing activities for solid oral dosage forms, ensuring adherence to GMP and regulatory standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of shift supervisors and MFG operators to meet production targets.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to optimise processes and resolve operational issues.
  • Collaborate with EHS to ensure full compliance of safety standards in the department, acting as the appointed Safety Supervisor (Preposto) for the area.

Background & Requirements:

  • University Degree in CTF, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
