Network & Security - OPS Engineer

Job Description:

The role is responsible for establishing and maintaining network performance by building and changing network configurations and connections, troubleshooting L1 and L2 network incidents and problems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform maintenance, upgrade, and configuration of various networking devices.
2. Provide support in external connection documentation.
3. Create and update internal low-level and high-level network infrastructure documents including diagrams.
4. Update network-related disaster recovery procedures.
5. Secure network systems by enforcing ING policies and standards.
6. Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network and enterprise architects on network optimization.
7. Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information.
8. Any other duties as assigned by management.
9. Rotate on-call availability (8:00 PM to 8:00 AM including weekends and bank holidays).

Requirements:

1. University degree.
2. 5+ years' experience in the same role/position in an international and complex environment.
3. Cisco CCNA certification / CCNP is nice to have.
4. Experience gained within the financial industry is a plus.
5. Experience on Cisco Systems complex switching (Catalyst and Nexus) and routing environments, Checkpoint firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 complex load balancing/SSL/VPN solutions, Blue Coat proxy solutions, Cisco Systems ISE, Linux-based OS security appliance administration, Paessler PRTG / Nagios.
6. Fluent in both Italian and English (written and spoken).
