Overview

Bottega 52 SRL is an innovative software house committed to delivering high quality web and mobile applications to its customers.

We are looking for a Junior Frontend & Mobile Engineer with demonstrable expertise in frontend web technologies. The ideal candidate is a graduate (Master of Science or equivalent degree) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science (or affine degrees) fluent in both Italian and English with excellent communication skills, autonomous and responsible in their work. They should have a portfolio of previously completed works discussed in the first person, capable of discussing the technical tradeoffs made during development.

Responsibilities

As part of the everyday job, the candidate will be responsible for the development of rich and complex web applications specifically on the frontend side. They will regularly propose innovative approaches that challenge the status quo to improve the quality and efficiency of Bottega52\'s development teams. The candidate should be a team player and able to describe the under-the-hood quirks and complexities of complex web pages. They should also participate in internal training sessions and focus on a professional development path with Bottega52 to support that growth.

Skills required on the frontend side
  • Experience with web-oriented languages such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
  • Experience with at least one web framework (e.g., Bootstrap or a sensible alternative)
  • Experience with at least one other leading frontend web development framework (Angular, Backbone, Ember)
  • Knowledge of (ideally experience with) ReactJS
  • Knowledge of at least one web package manager (like Bower or npm)
  • Knowledge of Git versioning system; Git-Flow is a plus
Nice-to-haves
  • Knowledge of software design patterns
  • Knowledge of fault-tolerant architecture patterns
  • Exposure to either BDD or TDD
  • Exposure to asynchronous models of communications
  • A taste for design
  • A taste for wit and humor
