What you’ll do

• Join the team of Technology - Enterprise Technology & Transformation and in particular the area Cross Services Platform reporting directly to Integration Cross Platform Architecture Associate Manager.
• You will have the opportunity to be involved in analysis, design and development of solutions according to the requests from external business units or other ICT groups; you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and enthusiastic team for domestic and international projects for all the brands managed by Flutter SEA – Southern Europe & Africa assets.
• Collaborating with the Architecture team to implement technical frameworks and guidelines, ensuring business flows are correctly applied across different game types and jurisdictions during the delivery phase.
• Maintaining and improving the existing codebase, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability.
• Contributing to the stability of applications by supporting the monitoring and maintenance of production environments.
• Responding promptly to alerts, identifying root causes, and resolving issues to minimize operational impact.

What you’ll bring

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 / 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Experience with Integration Technologies, hands‑on experience or familiarity with integration platforms and tools.
• A solid understanding of software architecture principles, particularly in Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Proficiency in Java 17 / 21 and hands‑on experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring JDBC.
• Experience working with message brokers such as Apache ActiveMQ.
• You are comfortable building and deploying containers using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
• Good working knowledge of CI / CD tools and practices.
• Previous experience in Apache Kafka.
• Basic knowledge of service management tools (ServiceNow), DBMS (Oracle, MySQL) and / or not‑relational DB (MongoDB).
• Strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
• Attention to details, a meticulous approach to ensuring data accuracy and the smooth operation of integrations.
• Proactive and Problem‑Solving Mindset, a willingness to take initiative, identify potential issues, and work towards solutions.
• Adaptability and Learning Agility, the capacity to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving integration needs.

• Fluency in both English and Italian, with good written and verbal communication skills.
