Position Summary
Main Responsibilities
- To be responsible for gears and shafts design
- To define components geometry in function of life target
- To be able to perform analytical and FEM simulation loops to optimize the design in function of loads and constraints
- To have a complete overview on gearsets to evaluate pros and cons of all solutions
Job Requirements
Education: University master degree - Mechanical
Professional Background:
- Preferred experience in gears and shaft design roles
- Preferred experience in gears and shaft manufacturing process
- Preferred experience in analytical and FEM analysis
Hard Skills
- Preferred experience in mechanical constructions and transmission design with particular focus on gears and shafts
- Knowledge of material and manufacturing process
- Preferred experience in simulations (analytical and FEM)
- Preferred automotive development process knowledge (design and validation phases, from design to series components process…)
- Proficient in both English and Italian
Considered as a plus
- Able to take decisions to define best technical solution with limited direct responsible supervision
- 2D and 3D skills
- Knowledge of coating processes and benefits
- Knowledge of particular surface processes (ex. Shot peening) and benefits
Soft Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Sound analytical and organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively
- Forward-thinking and results-driven
- Able to work under pressure
