This role involves leading projects, responding to maintenance requests, and managing safety protocols, requiring a proactive individual with strong communication skills and technical expertise.

Descrizione del lavoro

Are you a jack of all trades? If so, our Engineering Supervisor role will allow you to lead and train engineering and landscape team members in all technical and non-technical areas. This individual will be comfortable leading various projects from start to finish as well as focused on maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair all hotel systems including HVAC systems, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, water and wastewater systems, carpentry, tile, plumbing, painting, and minor automotive repairs.
• Assume responsibilities of the Director of Engineering in their absence.
• Maintain complete knowledge of hotel fire systems, water systems, sewage systems, and irrigation systems.
• Respond to all guest requests in a timely manner.
• Respond to all emergency or life-threatening situations.
• Follow established safety procedures.
• Log and communicate all essential information in engineering logs.
• Duties include emergency on-call status.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as an Engineer/Maintenance Technician, preferably within a hotel or property management environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school desired.
• Must be able to operate all hotel systems and associated equipment.
• Familiarity with vendors, and ability to identify replacement parts, materials, and necessary tools.
• Ability to take action and make decisions as directed by the Director of Engineering.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions for assembly of mechanical equipment and furniture, and follow safety warnings.
• Effective communication skills in English with guests, coworkers, and management.
