Job Description
As part of Leonardo Helicopters Product Line Management, a Project Manager with 3+ years of experience is required. Reporting directly to the Product Line Manager of a specific Platform, the project manager is responsible for the execution of a specific project or Project Work Package. The role includes cross-functional coordination, cost and schedule monitoring, and supporting technical and contractual deliverables.
- Liaising with technical areas, flight test teams, and the Chief Project Engineer (CPE) to monitor the development and certification of the helicopter systems, actively supporting the planning and identifying any risks and issues.
- Coordinating with technical areas, laboratories and testing facilities (both internal and external) to ensure proper planning and execution of the tests required to support the certification process, when required.
- In collaboration with the Configuration Control, ensuring the proper information flow‑down to Manufacture Engineering, Production Plants to support the production processes.
- Supporting Finance, Planning, and PMO teams in monitoring milestones, budget adherence and forecast, ensuring the achievement of program targets and KPIs respecting the cost baseline and program targets.
- Identifying, assessing and monitoring program risks and opportunities in accordance with company procedures and with the support of the Risk Manager.
- Ensuring, in collaboration with Planning and Engineering Planning functions, the proper scheduling of activities required to achieve the certification, monitoring progress and acting in case of deviations.
- Collaborating with Procurement & Supply Chain in managing key critical external suppliers, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Supporting the preparation of reporting material for Senior Leadership Meetings, Technical Coordination Meetings and program reviews.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering or related field
- At least 3 years of experience
- Familiarity with Project Management principles (PMI certification is a plus)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project or equivalent)
- Fluent in English
- Positive attitude and results-oriented approach
