Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop equipment and electronic devices for Valmet machinery for the Converting area
- Design technical specifications of new machinery
- Conduct engineering analyses using scientific principles to produce and interpret blueprints, drawings and technical specifications
- Interface with other R&D areas, in order to solve any issue related to the machinery and offer improvement solutions
- Coordinate with the design, development, production and customer service team to ensure activities are aligned and achieve delivery targets
- Propose efficient solutions to process and product development
- Plan and develop production processes according to customer needs
- Develop and use new materials and technologies in line with technological and business advances
- Perform machines tests at our Company plants, and if necessary at client facilities
To succeed in this role you should have
- Master’s Degree in Electronic/Software/Automation/Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science or similar
- Previous working experience in automation field will be appreciated
- Knowledge of PLC programming and motion control (especially Siemens, Rockwell)
- Knowledge of simulation tools (mainly MatLab, MatCad)
- Good understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things
- High proficiency with MS Office
- Basic competences in reading hardware diagrams
- Excellent knowledge of English and Italian
- Strong analysis and problem solving skills
