Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop equipment and electronic devices for Valmet machinery for the Converting area
• Design technical specifications of new machinery
• Conduct engineering analyses using scientific principles to produce and interpret blueprints, drawings and technical specifications
• Interface with other R&D areas, in order to solve any issue related to the machinery and offer improvement solutions
• Coordinate with the design, development, production and customer service team to ensure activities are aligned and achieve delivery targets
• Propose efficient solutions to process and product development
• Plan and develop production processes according to customer needs
• Develop and use new materials and technologies in line with technological and business advances
• Perform machines tests at our Company plants, and if necessary at client facilities

To succeed in this role you should have

• Master’s Degree in Electronic/Software/Automation/Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science or similar
• Previous working experience in automation field will be appreciated
• Knowledge of PLC programming and motion control (especially Siemens, Rockwell)
• Knowledge of simulation tools (mainly MatLab, MatCad)
• Good understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things
• High proficiency with MS Office
• Basic competences in reading hardware diagrams
• Excellent knowledge of English and Italian
• Strong analysis and problem solving skills
• Team working
• Organization and accuracy
