As Contract Management Specialist you will join our Engineering & Construction team! In this role, you will report to the PMO and will have the opportunity to support the comprehensive contract management across the full project lifecycle — from tender to close‑out — ensuring robust negotiation, change and claims governance, and seamless coordination between Project, Procurement, Legal, and Finance teams to safeguard project value and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • End‑to‑end support of the contractual process in coordination with the Procurement and Legal departments, from the tender stage through contract execution and closeout.
  • Support project managers (PMs) in managing EPC/EPCM/multi‑lot contracts and long‑lead/main equipment supplies, from negotiation and award to contractual kickoff, management of variations/claims/EOT, guarantees oversight, deliverable monitoring, and closeout.
  • Support Procurement with redlining T&Cs, term sheets, and the negotiation playbook, and align with Project Controls and Finance on schedule and cost impacts.
  • Standardization and governance of change order processes (policy, templates, approval thresholds, change control board), direct management and control of change orders on core projects with integrated time, cost, and risk assessment.
  • Claims management includes strategy, evidence collection, delay analysis (time impact analysis), negotiation proposals, and support for drafting settlement agreements and extensions of time (EOT).
  • Communication and relationships with contractors: management of formal correspondence, minutes, action logs, communication plans, and escalation channels; oversight of pre‑dispute and DAAB (Dispute Avoidance/Adjudication Board).
  • Obligations matrix and deliverable registry: track contractual deadlines (milestones, guarantees, insurances, liquidated damages/bonus).
  • Management of the contractual punch list, performance tests, issuance of certificates, release/encashment of guarantees, and closing of claims.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Common law vs civil law knowledge: practical differences, Liquidated Damages/penalties, force majeure/hardship, cap/LoL, governing law/venue, and time bars/notices.
  • Change & Claims Management: formal change control process, drafting and handling claims/EOT, negotiation and settlements; ability to structure delay analysis (TIA).
  • Incoterms 2020, contractual insurances (CAR/EAR), and management of guarantees (Performance Bond, Advance Payment Guarantee/Advance Bond, etc.).
  • Technical‑contractual reading: BoQ, specifications, technical appendices, testing/commissioning plans and their time/cost implications.
  • 5+ years on renewable energy/E&C projects and on managing EPC/EPCM/multi‑lot contracts and main‑equipment supply agreements.
  • Multi‑country contract experience (2+ years managing contracts in common law jurisdictions and years in civil law jurisdictions).
  • Track record: variations > €5–10M, material EOTs, dispute‑free closures or arbitrations with favorable outcome; interaction with DAAB.
  • SharePoint for correspondence and registers; SAP for commitments/actuals.
  • English fluent; Spanish and Italian are a plus.
  • Education: Degree in Law, Economics, Engineering, or Business/Commerce.
  • Travel requirements: This role requires availability to travel up to 25% of the time.
