About The Role

In Business Transformation, we focus on clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs, addressing the full spectrum of performance, financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. Our services include strategic and business planning, profitability improvement, merger, integration and carve‑out, pre‑deal commercial and operational due diligence, and interim management. Our demanding customer base relies on small, experienced senior teams.

Business Transformation sits with the FTI Corporate Finance practice and works alongside colleagues in the Restructuring, Transactions Services, Tax and Digital Science teams, providing a holistic offer for clients and a rewarding experience for staff.

What You’ll Do

• Work within small project teams, supporting clients across a broad range of engagements.
• Deliver high‑quality and insightful financial and operational reviews and modelling.
• Analyse market trends and company financials for new insights.
• Identify how to improve operational performance and create upside potential.
• Identify risks, potential downsides and mitigating actions.
• Build pragmatic and implementable strategies and business plans, underpinned by solid analyses.
• Drive client implementation, including programme management across multiple initiatives.
• Contribute to reports and present work to clients.
• Work in the FTI London office, with frequent working in FTI offices across EMEA and on client sites.

What You Will Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications

• Experience of consulting engagements within a top‑tier management consultancy.
• Additional industry experience is an advantage.
• Educated to degree level; additional qualifications such as CFA or MBA are an advantage.
• Project experience in high‑paced environments focused on impact and rapid results (e.g., rapid performance improvement, turnaround, business plan review/development, due diligence, carve‑out, integration, implementation).
• Experience of short, high‑intensity projects with tight deadlines.
• Industry experience (e.g., consumer goods, retail, TMT, chemicals, pharma, transportation and logistics, financial services, or travel and leisure).
• International exposure and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Consulting skills with ability to gather data, perform research, execute analyses and visualise conclusions.
• Communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, to clients and teams.
• Highly organised and structured, with excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Experience dealing with uncertainty and problem solving with incomplete data.
• Team player, open‑minded, culturally aware and sensitive.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, building professional and personal relationships with client teams at all levels and across the firm.
• Combines business sense and financial understanding with commercial capabilities.
• Quickly gains comfort with unfamiliar content areas and drives content leadership.
• Flexible to accommodate frequent travel.
• Mature demeanour and positive attitude, and sensitivity when dealing with clients.
• Fluent English speaker and writer.
• Fluent in continental languages (Dutch, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Arabic) is highly preferable.
