Position

Application Engineer

Main Accountabilities:

• Directly engage customers to understand product requirements and identify current products that will meet or exceed customer performance specifications.
• Support updates for manufacturing or customer changes based on product configuration and release new part numbers utilizing standard engineering workflow processes.
• Maintain technical contact with the customer for all project-related activities.
• Schedule and facilitate all customer project-related meetings.
• Support the LPE in the presentation of customer presentations that relate to the project.
• Support Sales on commercial presentations at customer sites.
• Plan assigned programs and organize tasks, resources, and costs.
• Assist in quotation activities on product configuration engineering changes.
• Coordinate, document, and report testing (internal and external) to support customer programs.
• Support the establishment of product specifications for new development products or systems in conjunction with R&D.
• Support customers (internal and external) to resolve technical issues.
• Develop and maintain internal program reports, such as Timing, Program Status Report, Open Issue Lists, and Meeting Minutes.
• Actively support the LPE in tracking and reporting on program design status, costs, budgets, and capital investments (Program Financial Status, Steering Committee Presentations, Gate Reviews).
• Actively monitor competitive products in the market and their application on our customer products. Complete benchmarks on products as assigned.

Requirements:

• Technical Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Technical Knowledge of Powertrain.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.
• Background in Industrial/Automotive sector in a similar role.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience with CAD software is a plus.
