A satellite technology company in Milano is seeking an AIT Mechanical Engineer for immediate start. The role combines mechanical design and operation for satellite and payload integration. Responsibilities include collaborating with the team on integration processes, implementing procedures, and providing mechanical support during environmental and launch campaigns. Ideal candidates should have experience in satellite technology and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Competenze

• Experience in satellite and/or payload integration.
• Ability to work within a team on mechanical integration.
• Knowledge of thermal and mechanical sensors.

OHB Italia is seeking for its AIT Department in Milano for immediate start an

AIT MECHANICAL ENGINEER m/f Ref.Mech AIT_2026

Combines the role of the Mechanical Designer with the role of Mechanical AIT Operator for Satellite and/or Payload Integration within the AIT Unit.

Your Tasks

• Actively involved with the team in the definition of the Satellite and/or payload integration approach.
• Responsible for the implementation of Satellite and/or Payload integration procedures.
• Collaborate with AIT Team on the Mechanical Integration of structure of NAOS SM, EM and PFM model.
• Collaborate with the AIT Team on the Mechanical Integration of the EM and flight units.
• Collaborate with the AIT Team on the Mechanical Integration of flight harness.
• Installation of thermal and mechanical sensors: thermocouples, thermistors, heaters, accelerometers.
• Definition and implementation of MAIT processes and related documents.
• Handling of Satellite and/or Payload and related MGSE, including use of cherry picker.
• Mechanical support during the Satellite and/or Payload Environmental Test Campaigns.
• Mechanical support during the Satellite Launch Campaigns.
