Job summary

RBS in India is seeking a Quality Automation Specialist at associate level to advance automated testing across delivery models. You will collaborate with feature teams and stakeholders to embed quality early in the lifecycle.

You’ll lead mobile automation efforts using Appium and Python, build robust frameworks, perform Android and iOS testing, and ensure data-driven verification with SQL basics. This role offers exposure to CI/CD and cross-domain projects.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience with Appium and Python to automate mobile testing.
• Experience designing robust automation frameworks with locator strategies and waits.
• Good knowledge of Android UiAutomator2 and iOS XCUITest.
• Data-driven automation using Python, OpenPyXL/Pandas, JSON.
• Basic SQL for backend data verification.

Join us as a Quality Automation Specialist

• In this key role, you’ll be undertaking and enabling automated testing activities in all delivery models
• We’ll look to you to support teams to develop quality solutions and enable continuous integration and assurance of defect free deployment of customer value

What you’ll do

Joining us in a highly collaborative role, you’ll be contributing to the transformation of testing using quality processes, tools, and methodologies, significantly improving control, accuracy and integrity. You’ll make sure repeatable, constant and consistent quality is built into all phases of the idea to value lifecycle at reduced cost or reduced time to market. It’s a chance to work with colleagues at multiple levels, and with cross-domain, domain, platform and feature teams, to build in quality as an integral part of all activities.

Additionally, you’ll be:

• Seeking a Mobile Automation QA Engineer with 3 to 5 years experience & expertise in Appium, Python to automate testing for mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms.
• Develop and maintain mobile automation test scripts using Appium, Python, Selenium WebDriver, and Page Object Model (POM).
  Design and enhance robust automation frameworks with locator strategies, synchronization techniques, explicit waits, and exception handling.
• Perform mobile testing across Android (UiAutomator2) and iOS (XCUITest), including device registration and app lifecycle validation.
  Build data-driven automation frameworks using Python, Excel (OpenPyXL/Pandas), JSON, and reusable test utilities.
• Validate push notifications, emojis, and dynamic content through notification automation and cross-app verification techniques.
• Troubleshoot automation failures using ADB Commands, Appium Inspector, screenshots, screen recordings, and log analysis to improve test stability and coverage.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for backend data verification and test data mining
