Job summary

Applied Materials India is seeking a highly motivated HRIS Analyst with Workday expertise to join our Bangalore HRIS team onsite. You will support configuration, maintenance, and enhancements of the HR technology stack to improve business processes.

The role requires collaboration with HR and HRIT, ownership of testing, release planning, and continuous improvement, with emphasis on data quality and scalable technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, IT, CS or Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience as a Workday HCM functional expert.
• Strong consultative skills and ability to build relationships.

• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Workday HCM, ServiceNow, and SABA/Cornerstone, ensuring smooth operation and addressing issues that arise.
• Serve as a Workday HCM subject matter expert, leading design, configuration, and testing of HCM processes. Support planning, execution, and delivery of end-to-end solutions.
• Ensure HR processes are thoughtfully designed, fully documented, and consistently executed across all HR systems through close collaboration with HR and HRIT.
• Collaborate with different teams to find solutions, assist others, and create technology-driven solutions. You dig deeper to understand the desired outcome instead of simply taking requests at face value.
• Evaluate out-of-the-box functionality against business requirements to identify optimal solutions to meet those needs.
• Partner with HR SMEs and HRIT team members to build and document workflows and procedures for our systems.
• Roll out new technology functionality to support new initiatives and projects.
• Intake, scope, and carry out technology enhancements and changes based on stakeholder requests.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HRIS Analyst with a specialized skillset in Workday to join our HRIS team. This is onsite in Bangalore, IND. As an HRIS Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the configuration, maintenance, and enhancements of the HR Technology stack by providing HR technology solutions to improve business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Workday HCM, ServiceNow, and SABA/Cornerstone, ensuring smooth operation and addressing issues that arise.
• Serve as a Workday HCM subject matter expert, leading design, configuration, and testing of HCM processes. Support planning, execution, and delivery of end-to-end solutions.
• Ensure HR processes are thoughtfully designed, fully documented, and consistently executed across all HR systems through close collaboration with HR and HRIT.
• Collaborate with different teams to find solutions, assist others, and create technology-driven solutions. You dig deeper to understand the desired outcome instead of simply taking requests at face value. You offer advice that strikes a balance between meeting business requirements and developing scalable, top-notch technology solutions and experiences.
• Evaluate out-of-the-box functionality against business requirements to identify optimal solutions to meet those needs.
• Partner with HR SMEs and HRIT team members to build and document workflows and procedures for our systems.
• Roll out new technology functionality to support new initiatives and projects.
• Intake, scope, and carry out technology enhancements and changes based on stakeholder requests.
• Maintain awareness of Workday future releases / roadmap and the potential impact of those plans on current and future Workday functionality.
• Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset, proactively identifying and recommending improvements to processes, technology, and data quality.
• Responsible for the thorough testing and analysis of new Workday features and functionality and participates in release planning, accountable for regression testing, unit testing, user acceptance testing and pre-launch testing / sign-off for new features or enhancements.
• Assist in testing processes from creating test cases, setting up test cases, and testing different personas through the processes.
• Monitor and recommend changes to improve processes, technology, and data quality.
• Responsible for understanding, creating, and implementing end to end technology processes, identifying and closing gaps in processes and dependencies and transforming the technology landscape, specifically utilizing data connections.
• Uphold excellent time management skills including technical requirements gathering, integration documentation, testing plans, and cut-over plans from a technology perspective and lead stakeholders through these standards.
• Use project management skills in managing projects. Provide overall project management for given HR system initiative.
• Use HR and technical knowledge to influence, consult, communicate and manage projects from design to successful implementation

Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering
• 5-7 years of experience as Workday HCM functional expert
• Strong consultative skills and the ability to build relationships with HR and cross-functional partners
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Experienced in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Projects and other business tools
• Ability to work in a high demand environment and manage ambiguous situations and/or directives
