Job summary

Moder Solutions in India is seeking an experienced Workday Functional Lead FINS to lead configuration, testing and production support for Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning.

You will collaborate with finance stakeholders to translate requirements into effective Workday solutions and oversee month-end close, FP&A processes, and releases. This role is based in Bangalore/Chennai with 5 days on-site work.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Workday Finance experience required.
• Strong Workday FINS and Adaptive Planning expertise.
• Experience leading functional workstreams across implementation, testing, and production support.
• Ability to translate business requirements into Workday configurations.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional activities for Workday Financials (FINS) including configuration, testing, and support.
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders to capture requirements and map to Workday solutions.
• Configure finance processes across Expenses, Procurement, Projects, and Customer/Supplier processes.
• Support Month-End Close activities and FP&A-related processes.
• Coordinate UAT, defect resolution, and business readiness for releases.
• Support Workday release management and data exchange via EIB with technical teams.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workday Functional Lead FINS with strong expertise in Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning. The ideal candidate will have a solid finance functional background, hands‑on experience in Workday business process configuration, and the ability to lead functional activities across implementation, testing, production support, and release management.

Role Details

Experience: 7+ Yrs

Location: Bangalore/Chennai

Shift: 1.30pm to 10.30pm

Mode: 5 days' work from office

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days

Key Responsibilities

• Lead functional activities for Workday Financials (FINS), including business process configuration, testing, and production support.
• Work closely with finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.
• Configure and support finance-related business processes across Expenses, Procurement, Projects, Supplier Processes, and Customer Processes.
• Support Month-End Close activities, finance operations, reporting, and data‑related requirements.
• Work with Workday Adaptive Planning to support planning, budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A-related processes.
• Prepare and execute UAT, coordinate defect resolution, and ensure business readiness.
• Support production handoffs, deployment activities, and Workday release management.
• Collaborate with technical teams on integrations and data exchange using EIB.
• Provide functional guidance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth delivery of Workday Finance solutions.
