Job summary

InternHunt is seeking a WordPress Web Developer Intern to design, develop, and maintain WordPress sites. You will work on custom themes and plugins, install WordPress on servers, and integrate it with other technologies.

You’ll customize existing themes/plugins, optimize performance, and collaborate with designers and project managers to deliver on time. The role emphasizes learning, meeting deadlines, and staying updated with WordPress trends while gaining hands-on experience in hosting and SEO

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins for clients.
• Install and configure WordPress on servers and integrate with other tech.

• Build and maintain WordPress-based solutions (e-commerce, membership sites, CPTs).
• Optimize performance and scalability of WordPress sites.
• Troubleshoot and debug WordPress issues.

Job description

A WordPress Web Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining websites using the

WordPress content management system. A successful WordPress Web Developer should have a good

understanding of HTML and PHP and have experience working with WordPress. They should have

experience building responsive websites and knowledge of web development best practices and standards.

They should be able to work independently and be able to multitask and meet deadlines.

They should be well-organized and able to communicate effectively with clients and other team members.

Additionally, they should be able to troubleshoot and debug issues quickly and efficiently.

Roles and responsibilities of the intern

Designing and developing custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet the specific needs of clients.

Installing and configuring WordPress on web servers and integrating it with other technologies.

Customizing existing WordPress themes and plugins to match the design and functional

requirements of clients.

• Building and maintaining custom WordPress-based solutions, such as e-commerce sites,

membership sites, and custom post types.

Optimizing the performance and scalability of WordPress-based websites.

Troubleshooting and debugging issues related to WordPress-based websites.

Collaborating with other team members, such as web designers and project managers, to ensure that websites are delivered on

time and on budget.

Keeping up-to-date with the latest WordPress development best practices and trends.

Should have knowledge about the SEO for pages

Continuously learning new technologies, frameworks and tools

Skill(s) Required

Strong knowledge of WordPress

Experience with WordPress and building custom WordPress themes and plugins

Experience with responsive web design

Experience with other web technologies and frameworks

Understanding of SEO and web performance optimization

Understanding of web hosting and server management.
