Job summary

Nuarsh TechServe seeks a Windchill technical architect/engineer to define and design Windchill customization solutions for PLM implementations in India.

You will translate business requirements into scalable Windchill models and lead end-to-end customization activities across design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

Job description

·Define and design technical architecture and customization solutions for Windchill PLM implementations.

·Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into scalable Windchill technical solutions.

·Lead end-to-end Windchill customization activities, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

·Develop and review customizations using Java, Windchill APIs, Java/JSP, REST APIs, and other Windchill development frameworks .

·Design and implement custom solutions involving Windchill objects, business rules, workflows, lifecycle management, attributes, and user interfaces.

·Provide technical leadership for complex Windchill customization and integration requirements.

·Design and develop integrations between Windchill and external enterprise applications.

·Review technical designs, code, customizations, and implementation approaches developed by team members.

·Ensure that customizations follow Windchill best practices, PTC standards, performance considerations, and upgrade compatibility .

·Identify opportunities to minimize customizations through appropriate Windchill configuration and out-of-the-box capabilities.

·Provide technical guidance for Windchill upgrades and assess the impact of customizations during upgrade activities.

·Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to Windchill customization, integrations, performance, and deployments.

·Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, project managers, infrastructure teams, and customers.

·Conduct technical discussions, solution walkthroughs, and architecture reviews with customers.

·Mentor and guide Windchill developers and technical team members.

·Participate in technical estimations, solution proposals, project planning, and technical risk assessment.

·Ensure technical documentation is maintained for architecture, design decisions, customizations, integrations, and deployment procedures.

Required Technical Skills

·Strong hands-on experience with PTC Windchill PLM .

·Extensive experience in Windchill customization and development .

·Strong knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming .

·Experience with Windchill APIs, Java/JSP, REST APIs, and web services .

·Strong understanding of Windchill architecture and its core modules.

Experience with customization of:

• Workflows and lifecycle processes
• Objects and business rules
• Attributes and classifications
• Actions and validators
• Reports and data utilities
• Access control and security

·Strong understanding of Windchill data model and persistence framework.

·Experience with Windchill integrations and enterprise application interfaces.

·Knowledge of Windchill configuration versus customization and the ability to select the appropriate approach.

·Strong understanding of Windchill deployment and release processes.

·Experience supporting Windchill upgrades and assessing customization impacts .

·Good understanding of database concepts and SQL.

·Experience with source-control and build/deployment tools.
