Job summary

Doonbank Care Home in the heart of Patna (UK listings reference) is seeking a Domestic Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents. You will perform hands-on cleaning of rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, and assist with laundry to keep belongings cared for and returned correctly.

Working closely with the team, you will follow infection control, health and safety, and cleaning procedures to ensure spaces meet high standards of hygiene and presentation,

Located in the heart of Patna, Doonbank Care Home provides personalised nursing and residential care for up to 36 residents, promoting small group living in a warm, family-like setting. Domestic Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 5 hours per week -every second weekend Saturday & Sunday (2.5 hours per day)
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Domestic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, dignity and comfort. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will have a direct impact on daily life.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, helping to ensure personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with required standards. Your role will contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
