Job summary

MindzMap is seeking a talented website designer to take ownership of design projects and deliver visually compelling, user-friendly websites. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with internal teams and also independently with minimal supervision.

The role emphasizes strong CMS (WordPress) capability, solid visual design skills, and a good grasp of UI/UX principles to create intuitive user experiences for clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with CMS platforms, especially WordPress.
• Strong visual design skills and user interaction sensitivity.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiar with UI/UX principles and usability best practices.
• Problem solving and independent work ability.

Responsibilities

• Create wireframes, user flows, process maps and sitemaps.
• Apply color theory, typography and layout for web usability.
• Develop original website design ideas prioritizing simplicity.
• Create visuals aligned with branding for websites.
• Use data and analytics to drive design decisions.
• Stay updated on new design tech and trends.
• Code site's navigation structure.
• Prepare client mockups of proposed designs.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Come up with wireframes, user flows, process flows, storyboards and site maps
• Detailed understanding of colour theory, typography, layout design and usability principles, especially for websites
• Conceptualize original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex situations
• Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding requirements
• Utilize data and analytics in making informed design decisions
• Staying updated with new technology and trends
• Coding the site’s navigation
• Creating mock ups of the website for the client

Requirements

• Expert in handling content management systems (CMS) like WordPress
• Great visual design skills with sensitivity to user system interaction
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
