Job summary

Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation, a unit of Schneider Electric India, seeks a Strategic Sourcing Specialist for its Vadodara Plant. The role targets candidates with 6–15 years of experience in strategic sourcing, BE/B.Tech degrees, and strong supplier management capabilities.

The position is based in Vadodara and focuses on stamping and fabrication parts, supplier audits, RFQ, POs, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering and Quality to drive cost reductions and supplier

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech is mandatory.
• 6–15 years of experience in strategic sourcing or purchasing.
• Experience in stamping & fabrication parts; supplier audits and approvals.

Responsibilities

• Identify suitable suppliers for stamping and fabrication parts and define sourcing strategy.
• Involve in supplier audit and approval process.
• Develop parts with vendors, initiate RFQ, place POs and follow up.
• Involve in part approvals with Engineering & Quality.
• Drive cost reduction through zero-based costing and rate negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify suitable Supplier for Stamping & Fabrication parts. Able to decide strategy for the supplier.
• Involve in the supplier Audit & Approval process.
• Development of parts with vendor, Initiate RFQ, Purchase Orders & follow-up.
• Involve in Part approval process along with Engineering & Quality.
• Zero based Costing, Rate fixation, Rate Negotiation, rate revision as per agreed frequency.
• Able to guide team for productivity , New product development and commercial negotiations with vendors
• Identify cost saving opportunity & work on Identified project for Cost reduction.
• De-Risking & rationalize supplier base as per Sourcing Strategy.
