Job summary

Global Power Systems is seeking an experienced field service engineer for DG sets in Raipur, India. The role involves installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and on-site troubleshooting across various brands.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, perform load tests, and maintain comprehensive service reports, while coordinating with customers and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in DG set installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and servicing.
• Experience with leading DG brands (Cummins, Kirloskar, Mahindra etc.) is advantageous.
• Ability to travel for field service assignments.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and perform preventive maintenance of DG sets.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in generators.
• Conduct load testing and performance checks of DG systems.
• Attend service calls and breakdowns at customer sites.
• Maintain service reports, job cards, and customer records.
• Coordinate with customers and provide technical support when required.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Attend service calls and breakdown complaints at customer sites.
• Conduct load testing and performance checks of DG Sets.

• Coordinate with customers and provide technical support when required.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Monitor spare parts requirements and report inventory needs.
• Provide timely resolution of customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, alternators, control panels, and DG systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Basic computer knowledge for report preparation.
• Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel for field service assignments.

Qualification

• ITI / Diploma / B.E. (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field)
• Candidates with relevant technical qualifications and hands-on experience in DG Sets are preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 15 years of experience in Diesel Generator (DG Set) installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing.
• Experience with leading DG brands such as Cummins, Kirloskar, Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, Cooper, etc. will be an advantage.
