Job summary

Quest Global is seeking Piping Design Engineers with 8-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Power, and Heavy Engineering industries. Immediate joiners preferred. Location is Bangalore and Coimbatore.

Role involves piping detail engineering, material take-off (MTO), sizing and related calculations, with cross-functional coordination to ensure on-time, quality deliverables across projects.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/BS in Mechanical or equivalent engineering.
• 8-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas, power, heavy engineering.
• Piping detail engineering and MTO expertise.

Responsibilities

• 8-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas Engineering projects, Design & Detailing.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure On Time Quality Deliverable.
• Review Contract, Client Specification and Scope of Work and ensure compliance in Design.
• Conduct Design reviews, review vendor drawings and Material Take-Off (MTO).
• Review Design Calculations.
• Assign and monitor workloads for project schedules and capacity planning.
• Progress monitoring and approval of all engineering deliverables.
• Review design change requests from site and update design accordingly.
• Prepare project lessons learnt document and implement standards/guidelines.
• Participate in project close-out meetings and share lessons learned.

Key Responsibilities

• 8-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas Engineering projects , Design & Detailing.
• Co-ordinate with cross functional teams to ensure On Time Quality Deliverable. i.e. Static Equipment/Vessel Design, Rotating Equipment Design, Piping Design, Structural design, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control system and Site team.
• Review, understand the Contract, Client Specification and the complete Scope of Work and ensure to have them implemented in Design.
• Conducting Design reviews, Review Vendor drawings & Material Take-Off (MTO).
• Review Design Calculation
• Assign and monitor the individual workloads to optimize and adhere to project schedules as well as capacity management / resource planning.
• Progress monitoring, Review and Approval of all engineering deliverables -Ensures final design meeting customer requirements, international codes & standards and good engineering practice.
• Review the design change requests received from site and make necessary changes if required in design without compromising the codes and standards.
• Ensure that project lessons learnt document is prepared for all projects and subsequently necessary actions like standards and guidelines implemented.
• Participate in the project close out meeting and communicate the lessons learnt to all the disciplines and vice versa.
