Job summary

Petrus Technologies Private Ltd in Coimbatore invites applications for a Mechanical Design Engineer. The incumbent will work on 2D/3D CAD, create and alter drawings using Siemens NX 10 and PLM Teamcenter, and manage revisions and BOMs for heavy machinery components.

The role focuses on stage-wise drawing preparation, engineering change management, and delivering high-quality outputs on time to meet customer standards and project needs.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge in Siemens NX 10, 3D Modelling and 2D Drafting creation.
• Knowledge in Engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Execute 2D drawing creation/alteration for heavy machinery components using Siemens NX 10 and PLM Teamcenter.
• Prepare stage-wise drawings for machine/system/part levels.
• Implement Engineering Change Orders as per revision notes.
• Deliver quality outputs aligned with customer standards.
• Ensure timely, qualitative drawing support for project estimation.
• Identify and define BOM (Unique/Standard/Bought out/In-house) for developed products.
• Execute design changes following change management processes.
• Coordinate design activities with project requirements.

Role & responsibilities:

1. Execution of 2D Drawing creation / alteration for heavy machinery components using Siemens NX 10 and PLM Teamcenter.
2. Execution of stage-wise drawing preparation for machine / system / sub-system / part level.
3. Execution of Engineering change orders as per the revision note.
4. Delivering quality output of 100% as per the customer standard requirement.
5. Ensure delivering qualitative support in execution of drawings on time as per estimation.
6. Identify & define bill of materials (BOM) for the product developed as,
7. (Unique/Standard/Bought out/In-house).
8. Execute engineering design changes following change management processes.
9. Ensure that design activities are coordinated as per the project needs.

Must Have Experience:
