Responsibilities

• Perform and document history and physical examination.
• Formulate differential diagnosis and plan care.
• Develop initial care plan and modify daily plan.
• Write daily progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Order referrals and investigations as appropriate.
• Interpret lab and radiology results and transfusion needs.
• Invasive and non-invasive procedures as required.
• Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and postcare activities.
• Involved in planning patient management and care coordination.

Job Purpose:

To diagnose and treat hormone problems by attempting to restore hormone balance within the body's system. To treat, high blood pressure (hypertension), diabetes,osteoporosis, cholesterol problems, menopause, metabolic disorders, thyroid diseases, excessive or insufficient production of hormones, some cancers, short stature, and infertility.

Job Responsibilities:

I. Cognitive Clinical Management:

• Perform and document history & physical examination
• Formulate differential diagnosis
• Develops and documents initial plan of care*
• Modifies daily plan of care*
• Writes daily progress notes
• Obtain and document informed consent
• Order appropriate referrals*
• Order appropriate investigations
• Interpret hemodynamic parameters in critically ill patients
• Interpret laboratory & radiology results
• Orders transfusions of blood and blood products
• Order appropriate medication and other orders
• Prepare an appropriate discharge summary

II. Clinical Non-invasive Management:

• Perform digital rectal examination
• Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
• Orders, adjusts artificial feeding modalities

III. Clinical Invasive Management:

• Inserts central venous catheter*
• Performs oral endotracheal intubation
• Performs nasogastric intubation
