Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Vulnerability Management Specialist to support risk assessment and data security implementations in Pune. The role involves hands-on VM operations, remediation coordination, and stakeholder collaboration to drive timely vulnerability resolutions.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of VM experience with Qualys VMDR, Wiz or Aqua, and strong data visualization skills using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and ServiceNow. Collaboration and clear communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day operations related to VM ensuring correct assignments of vulnerabilities and notifications to lines of business.
• Handle tickets assigned to VM team and provide timely resolutions.
• Participate in meetings to understand business plans on remediations or roadblocks.
• Respond to email advisories and chat/call queries to resolve issues.
• Partner with stakeholders across NT to coordinate remediation efforts.
• Maintain KPIs and ensure VM performance remains within targets.
• Navigate scanning tools, PowerBI and ServiceNow to drive efficiency.

Job description

Provides technical expertise and support to clients, IT management and staff in risk assessment and the implementation of appropriate data security procedures

Performs operations, technical or administration work often in support of professional roles. Requires technical or other specific training or equivalent experience. Performs tasks and duties according to established procedures. Analyses information to solve on-going problems and implements procedures and approaches to complete work. Responsible for results of the team. May provide direction to team using extensive knowledge of established precedents and practices

• 1-3 yrs of Working experience in Vulnerability Management


• 1-3 yrs of Working experience in Qualys VMDR AND/OR Wiz/Aqua


• Execute day-to-day operations related to VM ensuring the correct assignments of vulnerabilities, acceptance of vulnerabilities, notifications to line of business on upcoming overdue vulnerabilities etc.


• Handling tickets assigned to VM team and timely resolution of it.


• Actively participate in meetings to understand business plans on remediations or roadblocks


• Respond to email advisories as well as chat/call to resolve queries/issues


• Partner and successfully build relationships with key stakeholders across NT


• Ensure to maintain KPIs under control on monthly basis.


• Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with sound technical knowledge on VM process


• Should be able to navigate scanning tools, PowerBI & ServiceNow

Skill / Experience
