Job summary

Uniphore is seeking a Vice President of Product Engineering to lead strategy and execution of our AI-first product portfolio. This role requires strong leadership and a technical background in building AI systems, especially Conversational AI, with expertise in LLMs, RAG, ASR, and TTS.

The leader will partner with Product, Data Science, and GTM to deliver customer-centric innovations while building a scalable, globally distributed engineering organization.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of software engineering experience with leadership in large-scale orgs.
• Proven delivery of multi-cloud SaaS products, including conversational AI exposure (ASR, TTS).
• Experience leading multi-level organizations including managers and senior leaders.
• Track record of building and scaling enterprise SaaS platforms (cloud-native).
• Strong cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills.

We are seeking a Vice President of Product Engineering to lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of our AI-first product portfolio. This leader will combine strong organizational leadership with sound technical background in building AI systems, especially Conversational AI products, driving the development of scalable, enterprise-grade platforms powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), Small Language Models (SLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and advanced conversational AI technologies like Multi-language Speech-to-Text (ASR), Text-to-Speech (TTS), Transcriptions, etc.

You will partner closely with Product, Data Science, and GTM leaders to deliver impactful, customer-centric innovations—while building and scaling a high-performing, globally distributed engineering organization.

Core Responsibilities

• Product Engineering Leadership
• Own end-to-end delivery of AI-driven SaaS products—from concept to production and scale
• Build, lead, and develop a multi-layered engineering organization, including Directors and senior leaders
• Drive execution excellence, improving velocity, predictability, and quality across teams
• Partner with Product, Design, and Customer Success to define roadmaps aligned with customer and market needs
• Ensure strong engineering fundamentals across development, testing, release, and operations in a multi-cloud SaaS environment.
• Organizational Leadership & Talent Development
• Build and mentor a high-performing global engineering organization
• Hire and develop senior leaders, fostering a strong leadership bench
• Create a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning
• Enable effective collaboration across Engineering, Product, and Data Science teams
• Proven people leadership, across an engineering site with a combined direct and matrixed structure, promoting culture and team spirit.
• Strategic Influence & Business Impact
• Partner with executive leadership to define long-term product and technology strategy
• Identify opportunities to leverage emerging AI technologies for competitive advantage
• Represent engineering in key business decisions and stakeholder engagements
• Balance near-term delivery priorities with long-term platform and AI investments

• Scaled a strong engineering organization with capable senior leadership layers
• Delivered multiple high-impact AI-driven product capabilities
• Established a reusable AI and data platform supporting multiple products
• Improved engineering velocity, quality, and operational excellence

Qualifications

• 18+ years of experience in software engineering, including leadership of large-scale organizations
• Proven experience delivering multi-cloud SaaS Products including some conversational AI experience (ASR, TTS, Transcriptions)
• Experience leading multi-level organizations, including managers and senior leaders
• Track record of building and scaling enterprise SaaS platforms (cloud-native)
• Strong cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills
• Experience building and motivating large engineering teams
