Role & Responsibilities
As a VP, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing a team of 20 professionals, streamlining the daily operations of the India technology team and collaborating with the US counterparts to ensure the successful fulfillment of overarching objectives in product development and information technology. This encompasses tasks such as managing networking, infrastructure, cloud services, security measures, end-user support, and other technology-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish an internal team comprising developers, analysts, and QA specialists for the purpose of advancing the development of the India team Connect and associated product suite.
- Minimize operational expenses, enhance operational efficiency, accelerate time‑to‑market, elevate product quality, and boost team productivity.
- Oversee the management, administration, and patching of servers and end‑user devices to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage Azure and AWS cloud platforms to support the technological infrastructure.
- Handle database administration responsibilities to maintain data integrity and accessibility.
- Build and operate an internal helpdesk for end‑user support, focusing on addressing queries and technical issues promptly.
- Ensure alignment of systems with business requirements to enhance overall functionality and effectiveness.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in computer science, management information systems, or relevant field is required.
- MBA preferred.
- 18+ years of experience, including a minimum of 10+ years leading application development teams and infrastructure/support teams.
- Agile/Scrum expertise is required.
- Hands‑on manager with deep technical knowledge of software development, able to operate in detail with the team while working at a strategic level with technology leadership.
- Strong communicator with analytical, problem‑solving/conflict‑resolution skills, able to handle multiple priorities and deliver excellent project management and organizational support.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiating skills to quickly establish rapport and credibility at all levels within an organization in the US and India.
- Thorough knowledge of computer hardware, infrastructure, networking, and software development.
- Experience in change management, risk management, quality management, and financial management of business projects and programs.
- Experience managing a team of internal and external resources working in a matrix organization.
