Job summary

Quadrafort Technologies is seeking a hands-on VoIP engineer to build, customize, and troubleshoot the core voice stack. You should be comfortable at the protocol layer, not just configuration level.

The role focuses on designing call routing, IVR flows, and secure signaling while integrating with CRM and applications. You will work with MySQL data and support interconnects in a fast-moving AI-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Asterisk development and module customization.
• Strong knowledge of SIP call flows, SDP, RTP/RTCP, and Q.850 codes.
• Experience debugging real-time voice issues using network tools.
• MySQL database experience for CDRs and logs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Asterisk modules and apps (C/C++).
• Design dial plan logic, IVR flows, routing, queues, transfers, conferences.
• Build integrations using AGI/AMI/ARI and expose APIs to apps/CRM.
• Manage SIP signaling and RTP media end-to-end; handle NAT, codecs.
• Debug production voice issues at protocol level; fix MOS, drops.
• Configure SBCs and secure signaling (TLS, SRTP).
• Handle telephony data in MySQL (CDRs, logs, reports).
• Support interconnects and assist in capacity and failover planning.
• Collaborate with application, QA and support during deployments.

We are looking for a hands-on VoIP engineer to build, customise and troubleshoot the core voice stack — someone comfortable at the protocol layer, not just at configuration level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Develop and customise Asterisk modules and applications (C/C++), and extend existing modules for platform-specific requirements.
• Design and maintain dial plane logic, IVR flows, call routing, queues, transfers and conferencing.
• Build integrations using AGI, AMI and ARI; expose call-control APIs to application and CRM layers.
• Handle SIP signalling and RTP media flows end to end — registration, trunking, NAT traversal, codec negotiation and transcoding.
• Debug production voice issues at protocol level: one-way audio, call drops, DTMF failures, registration flaps and MOS degradation.
• Work on SBC configuration and secure signalling — SIP over TLS, SRTP, and SIP header manipulation.
• Manage telephony data in MySQL — CDRs, call logs, reporting feeds and integration tables.
• Support carrier and OEM interconnects, and assist in capacity, redundancy and failover design.
• Collaborate with the application, QA and support teams during deployments and client escalations.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS:

• 3+ years of hands-on Asterisk development (v11 / v13 / v16 / v18); experience writing or modifying custom modules.
• Solid command of SIP call flows, SDP, RTP/RTCP and Q.850 cause codes.
• Practical debugging with sngrep, Wireshark, pjsip logger and Asterisk CLI.
• MySQL working knowledge.

GOOD-TO HAVE:

• WebRTC, and integration with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
• Python or Node.js for tooling and automation.
• Understanding of Indian telecom regulatory requirements — DoT OSP framework, DLT / TCCCPR, 160-series outbound norms.
• Familiarity with contact centre concepts — ACD, predictive dialling, call recording, real-time monitoring.

EDU CATION:

B.E. / B.Tech / MCA in Computer Science, Electronics or equivalent practical experience.
