Job summary

KUKU is hiring a Video Editor – Kannada/Malayalam to craft high‑retention promos for microdramas and short‑form fiction. You will translate scripts into fast‑paced promos with strong openings and clear narrative progression, using captions, transitions, and sound design to heighten emotion.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of promo editing experience, fluency in Kannada & Malayalam, and proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Final Cut Pro.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Video Editor in promos, trailers, or short‑form storytelling content.
• Strong fundamentals: pacing, timing, framing, continuity, and rhythm.
• Basic know‑how of graphics (fast‑paced, quick cuts, GFX SFX, etc).
• Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent.
• Ability to understand narrative intent and translate audio or script‑based stories into engaging visuals.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, execution‑heavy environment.

About The Role

The ideal candidate understands pacing, rhythm, and visual storytelling and has exposure to Kannada/Malayalam Language.

• Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience editing content for microdramas, OTT promos, short films, fiction content, or performance marketing creatives.
• Fluency in Kannada & Malayalam
• Familiarity with US or global content consumption patterns (short‑form, binge‑driven storytelling).
• Working knowledge of motion graphics, typography, or basic animation.
• Experience editing content optimized for social platforms and ad creatives.
• Exposure to AI‑assisted tools for visuals or workflows is a plus (not mandatory).
