Job summary

Smart Work Consultants is seeking a creative Video Editor in Madurai to craft engaging content for retail brands across social media and campaigns. The role focuses on storytelling, formatting for reels/shorts, and aligning with brand guidelines.

You will work with the marketing team to transform raw footage into polished videos with transitions, captions, and music, optimizing formats for Instagram, YouTube and other platforms, while staying on trend.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.
• Knowledge of After Effects or Motion Graphics is an advantage.
• Strong editing, colour correction and audio editing skills for social media content.

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form and long-form videos for marketing and promotions.
• Create Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook and other social media videos.
• Edit product videos and customer testimonials with brand-aligned visuals.
• Add transitions, captions, music, sound effects and motion graphics.
• Develop videos that follow brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
• Collaborate with marketing to convert footage into engaging content.
• Organize footage, images, music and assets for reuse.
• Produce multiple formats for different platforms and stay on trend.

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to create engaging video content for our retail brand across social media, digital marketing, promotions, and product campaigns. The ideal candidate should have strong video-editing skills and a good understanding of social media trends and retail content.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit engaging short-form and long-form videos for marketing and promotional campaigns.
• Create Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook and other social media videos.
• Edit product videos, promotional videos, store walkthroughs, customer testimonials and event coverage.
• Add transitions, captions, subtitles, music, sound effects and motion graphics.
• Develop videos aligned with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
• Work with the marketing team to convert concepts and raw footage into engaging content.
• Select and organize footage, images, music and other visual assets.
• Create multiple video formats suitable for different social media platforms.
• Follow current social media trends, reels formats and visual storytelling techniques.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality video content.
• Maintain an organized library of video assets and project files.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.
• Knowledge of After Effects / Motion Graphics is an advantage.
• Strong skills in video editing, colour correction and audio editing.
• Experience creating Reels, Shorts and social media content.
• Good understanding of video formats, aspect ratios and platform requirements.
• Knowledge of basic graphic design and typography.
• Creative storytelling and strong visual sense.
• Ability to work with DSLR/Mirrorless camera footage.
• Good knowledge of current Instagram, YouTube and social media trends.
