Job summary

HackingFlix is seeking a highly creative Video Content Editor for Instagram and YouTube to help build a premium creator brand. This on-site internship involves crafting cinematic travel-inspired content and telling stories that captivate audiences from hook to finish.

You will edit reels, shorts, and long-form videos, apply color grading, add motion graphics, and ensure pacing keeps viewers engaged. A strong eye for detail and storytelling is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent storytelling and editing instincts.
• Strong understanding of modern Instagram and YouTube content.
• Ability to create both short-form and long-form videos.
• Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and emotional storytelling.
• Exceptional music selection and sound design.
• Professional color correction and color grading skills.
• Experience with editing software (Premiere Pro/DaVinci Resolve).
• Working knowledge of After Effects for basic motion graphics.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to consistently deliver polished, high-quality work.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Curious, creative, and continuously learning.

Responsibilities

• Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and long-form YouTube videos.
• Transform raw footage into engaging, story-driven content.
• Create compelling hooks that capture attention immediately.
• Maintain strong pacing and maximize viewer retention.
• Use music, sound design, transitions, and motion graphics intentionally—not excessively.
• Perform professional color correction and cinematic color grading.
• Add subtitles, titles, maps, and other graphics where appropriate.
• Organize project files and maintain an efficient editing workflow.
• Proactively suggest creative improvements instead of simply executing instructions.

About the Role

We're looking for a highly creative Video Content Editor to help build a premium creator brand through exceptional content on Instagram and YouTube.

The initial content you'll work on features cinematic travel experiences captured across different locations, but this is a long-term opportunity to create content across multiple formats as the brand evolves.

We're not looking for someone who simply edits footage. We're looking for someone who understands storytelling, audience psychology, pacing, emotion, and what keeps people watching.

If you constantly analyze great content, stay ahead of editing trends, and enjoy turning raw footage into memorable stories, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do
