Job summary

The Corporate Institute seeks a VP – Strategic Finance & Corporate Development in Gurgaon to lead FP&A, working capital, investor relations, fundraising and M&A. You will report to the CFO and partner with the CEO and Board, building a high-performing finance team and shaping long-term strategy.

Ideal candidates have CA or MBA Finance from a Tier-1 institute, 10–15 years in strategic/ corporate finance, and 4–5+ years in leadership, with strong modelling, BI, Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Own AOP, budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning.
• Drive working capital optimization across receivables, payables, inventory.
• Build models for unit economics, market sizing, pricing and capital allocation.
• Own MIS, KPI dashboards, Board presentations and investor reporting.
• Support fundraising and due diligence, including data rooms.
• Lead FPA evaluation of M&A, partnerships and JVs.
• Partner with business leaders to identify growth levers.

VP – Strategic Finance & Corporate Development

Location: Gurgaon | Reporting to: CFO | Experience: 10 – 15 years

Role Overview:

A high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the CFO, responsible for driving Strategic Finance, FP&A, Working Capital, Investor Relations, Fundraising and Corporate Development. The role will work closely with the CEO, CFO, Business Heads, Board and investors and will also build and lead a high-performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own AOP, budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and financial modelling.
• Drive working capital optimisation across receivables, payables, inventory and credit cycles.
• Build business models covering unit economics, scenario analysis, market sizing, pricing and capital allocation.
• Own MIS, KPI dashboards, Board presentations and investor reporting.
• Support fundraising, including financial modelling, investor decks, data rooms and due diligence.
• Lead financial evaluation of M&A, strategic partnerships and JVs, including valuation, due diligence, synergy analysis and deal structuring.
• Partner with business leaders to identify growth and profitability improvement levers.
• Drive improvements in FP&A systems, BI dashboards and reporting infrastructure.
• Support international business initiatives, including cross-border finance and FX/treasury management.

Ideal Candidate:

• CA or MBA Finance from a Tier-1 institution (IIM A/B/C, ISB, XLRI or equivalent).
• 10 – 15 years of experience in Strategic Finance, Business Finance, FP&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or Management Consulting.
• 4 – 5+ years in a leadership role, preferably in a high-growth startup/new-age business.
• Strong exposure to Board/investor reporting, fundraising and/or M&A.
• Excellent financial modelling, Excel, PowerPoint and BI skills.
• Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous and multi-business environment.
