Job summary

Standard Chartered India is seeking a senior IT Audit/IT Risk Manager to lead a team of controls testing SMEs and drive the design and execution of resilient IT control testing across the bank’s critical systems.

You will contribute to continuous improvement, implement AI-enabled controls testing, and ensure timely MI to risk forums while upholding the highest risk and conduct standards.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years in IT Audit and IT Risk Management.
  • Experience in US SOX regime.
  • SME in controls testing and resilience domain.
  • Strong negotiation and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT control testing SMEs to plan and execute on key controls testing across critical IT systems.
  • Develop a sustainable, repeatable technical control testing framework/methodology.
  • Provide timely control testing MI to risk forums and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with ERMF and O&T RTF risk frameworks and policies.
  • Identify remediation actions for control weaknesses across critical IT systems.
  • Track remediation, challenge delivery status, and escalate delays.
  • Explore automation opportunities in controls testing.

Job description

Job Summary
  • Support BAU Technology and Resilience Control Testing, including UK ACG, FRCF GITC and Material Control Testing as per new CSP Standard.
  • Continuous process improvement and developing AI Enabled controls testing to gain efficiency.
  • Strong Quality Control checks for all the control testing deliverables including, WP, heatmaps, various tracker, etc.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the functional head in leading a team of IT control testing SMEs to plan and execute on key controls testing across the bank’s critical IT systems.
  • Lead the execution of a consistent, sustainable and re-performable technical control testing framework/methodology for the bank’s critical IT systems.
  • Support the provision of timely and accurate control testing MI to the respective risk forums across business and functions.
  • Drive compliance with the Bank’s risk framework and policies (e.g. ERMF and O&T RTF)
  • Support stakeholders in defining remediation actions to address identified control weaknesses and issues across critical IT systems, and associated processes.
  • Track issue remediation, check and challenge delivery status and elevate delays.
  • Identify opportunities for automation of controls testing.
Strategic
  • Maintain effective relationships with leaders to facilitate:
  • Effective key IT controls testing;
  • The provision of timely, expert advice and assurance; and
  • Partnerships with other functions to provide professional advice and assurance;
Risk Management
  • Adopt an anticipatory approach to risk assessment through stakeholder engagement and monitoring of the external environment.
  • Work with other control assurance teams to drive efficiency, effectiveness and reduce duplication.
  • Provide thought leadership on IT control design, assessment, testing processes and drive continuous improvement in ERMF and O&T RTF.
  • Provide robust challenge and escalation to senior management to ensure activities achieve risk reduction.
  • Manage and drive continuous improvement of the IT control environment through proactive risk management.
Governance
  • Tracking and reporting of risk assessments (e.g. audits, risk assessments etc) and their outputs to ensure oversight and escalation mechanisms are in place to provide MI on obligations.
  • Work with the Application/Service Owners of critical IT systems to identify emerging IT risks and ensure they are appropriately addressed by relevant technical controls.
