Job summary

The Corporate Institute is seeking an experienced leader to head Fund Accounting and Operations with deep Private Equity and Alternative Investments expertise. You will oversee end-to-end accounting, reporting, regulatory compliance, and investor servicing while driving technology-enabled transformation across global teams.

You will lead platform implementations, optimize data governance, and partner with senior stakeholders to ensure scalable processes and superior investor service.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience in Private Equity Fund Accounting or Alternative Investments.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, ASC 946/820, fund structures, carried interest, management fees, and waterfall mechanics.
• Experience managing complex fund structures, including feeder funds, parallel funds, SPVs, and multi-currency portfolios.
• Hands‑on exposure to platforms such as Investran, Allvue, or eFront.
• Proficiency in Power BI/Tableau and automation tools such as RPA, Alteryx, or Anaplan.
• Proven experience managing global teams, driving operational transformation, and engaging with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fund accounting & reporting, including monthly/quarterly closures and investor reporting.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and robust internal controls across jurisdictions.
• Act as senior point of contact for LPs and GPs, coordinating with auditors and fund administrators.
• Drive standardization, automation, and efficiency across accounting and reporting functions.
• Lead implementation and optimization of fund accounting platforms, workflows, and data governance.

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced leader to head Fund Accounting and Operations, with strong expertise in Private Equity and Alternative Investments. The role will involve overseeing end-to-end fund accounting, financial reporting, investor servicing, regulatory compliance, technology transformation, and global team management while ensuring operational excellence and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

Fund Accounting & Reporting:

• – Oversee monthly/quarterly fund closures, financial statements (US GAAP/IFRS), investor reporting, capital calls, distributions, valuations, and waterfall calculations.

Compliance & Controls:

• – Ensure regulatory and tax compliance, including AIFMD, Form PF, FATCA/CRS, and maintain robust accounting policies, SOPs, and internal controls.

Investor & Stakeholder Management:

• – Act as a senior point of contact for LPs and GPs, managing investor queries and collaborating with internal teams, auditors, fund administrators, and other stakeholders.

Process Transformation:

• – Drive process standardization, automation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across fund accounting and reporting functions.

Technology & Data Management:

• – Lead implementation and optimization of fund accounting platforms, reporting tools, workflow automation, and data governance frameworks.

People Leadership:

• – Lead and develop global fund accounting teams, manage workforce planning, build capabilities, and establish a high-performance culture.
