Job summary

Apex Group is seeking a VP – Fund Accounting in India (Bangalore/Pune) to lead the fund administration for hedge funds. You will collaborate with Europe/Singapore/US regions and oversee NAV calculations, client relationships, and cross-functional delivery.

The role requires 14+ years in fund administration, strong leadership, and excellent communication. Reporting to SVP – Fund Services, this is a strategic leadership position within a global financial services firm.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience in the administration of hedge funds.
• CA/CMA/CFA/ACCA/MBA – Finance qualifications.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management.
• Experience in NAV calculations and fund accounting workflows.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients; ensure high satisfaction.
• Ensure effective dialogue between client and internal departments to resolve issues.
• Lead India team initiatives including migration planning, talent hiring, training, and career development.
• Support operations on automation, migrations and conversions projects.
• Contribute to global procedures changes and implementation.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders such as Securities/Trades, Pricing, Reporting, Investor Services, Auditors, and Clients.
• Monitor deliverables to ensure high SLA compliance and accuracy.

The successful candidate will join the Fund Services team as a VP – Fund Accounting and will be closely working with Client Service Managers based in Europe/Singapore/US/ Middle East regions in connection with the performance of duties related to the administration of Alternative Funds. Candidate should have around 14 plus years of relevant experience in the Administration of Hedge Funds and NAV calculations.

Job Specification

• Established and drive strong relationships with clients and maintained regular client contact to ensure that satisfaction levels are high.
• Ensured there is good dialogue between the client and relevant departments to prevent/ resolve issues related to the department and the client.
• As part of India team management, involve in future strategy planning for Apex India which includes migration planning, hiring right talent, training, people career path and growth, process reengineering, process automation and stake holder management.
• Support operations on projects related to Automations/Work migrations/Conversions etc.
• Support global changes in Key operating procedures and implementation.
• Coordinating with Internal/External Stake holders such as Securities/Trades and Pricing Team, Reporting Team, Investor Services team, Auditors, Client Service Managers and Clients.
• Effectively monitoring deliverables to ensure high SLA compliance within set accuracy standards.

Skills Required

• Experience working with an investment management or finance-related firm.
• Good knowledge of the investment industry with 14+ Years in Fund Administration.
• CA/CMA /CFA/ACCA/ MBA – Finance.
• An ability to think critically and objectively.
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
• Work additional hours as needed.
