Profile HR Consultants Pvt Ltd is seeking a senior leader to head Engineering, Projects, Utilities and Maintenance for multiple sterile injectable manufacturing sites in India. The role requires driving CAPEX, GMP compliance, engineering excellence and cost optimization while guiding large multidisciplinary teams across locations.

You will oversee greenfield/brownfield expansions, plant upgrades and technology implementations, with a focus on reliability, ESG targets, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Drive capital planning and execution for injectable manufacturing facilities across multiple sites.
• Lead Engineering, Projects, Utilities, Maintenance, Calibration and Engineering Compliance for sterile injectable facility.
• Drive greenfield/brownfield projects and plant expansions from concept to commissioning.
• Oversee HVAC optimization, energy conservation and predictive maintenance to improve OEE and reduce costs.
• Build and mentor 200+ engineering professionals across locations with competency frameworks and KPIs.

Leading Sterile & Injectable CDMO specializing in the development and manufacturing of complex sterile liquid and lyophilized injectables.

Job Purpose

Lead the Engineering, Projects, Utilities and Maintenance function for multiple sterile injectable manufacturing facilities, ensuring reliable plant operations, timely execution of CAPEX/projects, GMP compliance, engineering excellence, cost optimization and continuous improvement.

Key Drivers:

• Drive strategic capital planning and execution for injectable manufacturing facilities across multiple sites, overseeing design, qualification and regulatory compliance for general and potent molecules.
• Lead overall Engineering, Projects, Utilities, Maintenance, Calibration and Engineering Compliance activities for the sterile injectable facility.
• Drive greenfield/brownfield projects, plant expansions, modifications and technology upgrades from conceptualization through commissioning and qualification.
• Drive sustainability and energy conservation ini'atives including HVAC optimiza'on, and predictive maintenance programs to improve OEE and reduce operational costs while supporting ESG targets.
• Partner with QA, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain functions to ensure seamless integra'on of cGMP design principles, achieving sustained compliance.
• Build and mentor an engineering talent pipeline of 200+ professionals across multiple locations through competency frameworks, succession planning, and capability-building programs in maintenance excellence and advanced engineering practices.
• Oversee capital asset management, implemen'ng robust planning processes, project tracking systems, and performance metrics (KPIs) to optimize resource alloca'on and drive con'nuous operational improvement.
• Pharmaceutical and Lifesciences engineering and capital projects executive with 20+ years of experience leading multiple sterile facilities in sterile, oncology and aseptic filling lines.
• Strong experience in Engineering & Projects leadership, including greenfield/brownfield projects and plant expansions.
• Rich experience in Engineering & Projects leadership, including greenfield/brownfield projects and plant expansions.
• Experience in managing large multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
