Job summary

Citi in Pune, India seeks a Specialized Analytics Lead Analyst to advance data-driven strategies through large, complex data sets and advanced analytics. The role involves documenting data requirements and applying statistical models and visualization to support business outcomes.

You will collaborate across teams, demonstrate analytical problem-solving, and communicate findings clearly. Requires 6–10 years in a quantitative field, financial services experience, and strong Excel skills;

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in a quantitative field.
• Working experience in Financial/Credit Card industry.
• Demonstrated ability in data retrieving and manipulation with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent analytic ability and problem solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including MS Excel to develop analytic presentations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, detail oriented, and adaptive in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Incumbents work with large and complex data sets to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies.
• Identifies and compiles data sets using tools (e.g. SQL, Access) to help predict, improve, and measure key business outcomes.
• Document data requirements, data collection/processing/cleaning, and exploratory data analysis; may include statistical models and data visualization techniques.
• Incumbents in this role may be referred to as Data Scientists.
• Specialization in marketing, risk, digital and AML fields possible.
• Assess risk when business decisions are made, ensuring compliance with laws, protecting Citi and its clients.

The Specialized Analytics Ld Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

• Incumbents work with large and complex data sets (both internal and external data) to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies
• Identifies and compiles data sets using a variety of tools (e.g. SQL, Access) to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business to business outcomes
• Responsible for documenting data requirements, data collection / processing / cleaning, and exploratory data analysis; which may include utilizing statistical models / algorithms and data visualization techniques
• Incumbents in this role may often be referred to as Data Scientists
• Specialization in marketing, risk, digital and AML fields possible
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of experience
• Working experience in a quantitative field, Financial/Credit Card industry
• Must have Demonstrated ability in data retrieving and manipulation as well as proficient analytical skills
• Excellent analytic ability and problem solving skills

Education:

• Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
