Job Summary
  • The Sub Domain IC Delivery Lead is the single point of accountability for all Incremental Change (IC) initiatives within the Product Enablement sub‑domain. This senior leadership role is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery ownership, strategic execution and governance of the IC backlog in collaboration with multiple HiVE Leads, Solution Architects and Product Area Leads.
  • The ideal candidate will bring deep technology delivery expertise, a strong understanding of banking technology ecosystems and the ability to manage complex cross‑functional programmes while maintaining adherence to governance, risk and control frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
  • Define and own the Technology Strategy and Roadmap for Incremental Change (IC) within the Product Enablement sub‑domain.
  • Ensure strategic alignment of IC backlog with overall business priorities and technology transformation goals.
  • Partner with Domain Architects and Hive Tech Leads to align technology modernisation, obsolescence remediation and platform improvements with strategic outcomes.
  • Drive efficiency and innovation through adoption of DevOps, automation and continuous improvement practices.
  • Maintain a forward‑looking view of emerging risks, dependencies and technology shifts impacting delivery execution.
Business
  • Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for IC Delivery across Product Enablement, representing technology in all business and control forums.
  • Collaborate with Business Product Owners, Product Area Leads and Hive Leads to define clear delivery objectives, outcomes and success measures.
  • Partner with stakeholders (Technology & Business) to ensure delivery of right‑fit, value‑driven solutions aligned with business demand.
  • Ensure proactive communication and reporting of delivery progress, risks and achievements through transparent mechanisms (ADO as golden source).
  • Achieve measurable delivery outcomes including:
    • 95% vulnerabilities closed within SLA.
    • 30% reduction in CRISP backlog YoY.
    • <2 delayed obsolescence remediation items per year.
Processes
  • Establish and enforce standardised delivery processes for IC execution across all teams.
  • Ensure all ICs are logged, tracked and reported in ADO with complete visibility into progress, dependencies and controls.
  • Embed continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, streamlining governance reporting and automating tracking where feasible.
  • Drive adherence to Enterprise SDLC, ICS and ESDL standards to ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery.
People & Talent
  • Build and lead a high‑performing IC delivery team with a culture of accountability, transparency and collaboration.
  • Foster an environment of psychological safety, open feedback and innovation that empowers individuals to grow.
  • Coach and mentor Hive Tech Leads and team members to strengthen delivery discipline, stakeholder engagement and technical acumen.
  • Promote cross‑Hive collaboration and knowledge sharing to resolve dependencies and accelerate execution.
  • Recognise and celebrate IC delivery successes through regular communication and sub‑domain updates.
Risk Management
  • Proactively identify, assess and mitigate delivery risks, assumptions and dependencies throughout the IC lifecycle.
  • Ensure timely closure or extensions (if applicable) of CRISPs with zero overdue items.
  • Maintain risk registers with forward‑looking visibility and track remediation actions to closure.
  • Drive timely vulnerability remediation and obsolescence management, ensuring compliance with defined SLAs.
  • Rapidly escalated deviations from standards or controls with options and recommendations for resolution.
  • Contribute to bi‑weekly and monthly risk forums, providing clear risk narratives and progress updates.
Governance
  • Ensure full compliance with bank controls, risk frameworks and audit requirements—no deviations permitted.
  • Represent Product Enablement IC Delivery in key governance forums:
    • Monthly HIVE Technology Risk & Governance Meeting
    • Product Enablement Refinement Forum & Regulatory Initiative PgSC
  • CIB DC & CP IC Governance Forums chaired by the central team
  • Maintain transparent and accurate reporting through ADO as the single source of truth.
  • Lead weekly progress reviews and fortnightly vulnerability/CRISP reporting sessions with stakeholders.
  • Ensure cross‑Hive and cross‑domain dependency management and timely escalation of structural blockers.
  • Drive governance reporting improvements, ensuring clarity, consistency and actionable insights for senior management.
Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Collaborate with Technology Risk, Cyber Security, Compliance, Enterprise Programs and Cross‑Hive Tech Leads.
  • Build a culture of trust, collaboration and transparency within the IC delivery teams.
  • Drive alignment across Hives to ensure seamless cross‑product delivery and shared accountability.
  • Ensure timely escalation and resolution of delivery impediments with clear options and risk analysis.
  • Contribute to Sub‑Domain IC Progress Updates and Weekly Communication packs highlighting successes, risks and insights.
Qualifications
  • Education – Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
  • Certifications – Certification in project/program management (PMP, PgMP, Prince2) or agile delivery (Scrum Master, SAFe).
Skills and Experience
  • Participate in development of multiple or large software products and estimate and monitor development costs based on functional and technical requirements.
  • Delivery experience as Tech Project Manager and analysis skills.
  • Contrast advantages and drawbacks of different development languages and tools.
  • Expertise in RDBMS solutions (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL offerings (Cassandra, MongoDB, etc).
  • Experience in distributed technologies e.g. Kafka, Apache MQ, RabbitMQ, etc. will be added advantage.
  • Conduct walkthroughs and monitor effectiveness and quality of the development activities.
  • Strong knowledge in application integration using Web Services (SOAP/REST/GRPC) or Messaging using JMS.
  • Ability to design and build smart, scalable and reliable solutions with tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge about design patterns and development principles, microservices architecture.
  • Good hands‑on Data structures and Algorithms.
