Today, ARM is well recognized as the market leader in the CPU and System IP industry and this has been achieved by consistently delivering reliable and high quality IP products. The cost of design and manufacturing is high and that warrants a "right first time" approach for all IP and System products. Time‑to‑market is essential for our partners to take care of steadfast competition in the marketplace; being first would enable them to get premium value from the end products. In this context, Design Verification of CPU IPs is an exciting challenge requiring engineering abilities that are both broad and deep.
Responsibilities
- Work with the project team to understand, review the system requirements and deliver emulator testbench specifications.
- Own the development of the validation platform in emulation, debug methodology, development and implementation of test content, bug finding, and running various validation checks for IPs (CPUs and System IPs), interfaces (e.g., CHI, PCIe) in the emulation environment.
- Guide other team members as needed to enable successful completion of project activities.
Required Skills And Experience
- 3–5 Years of Experience.
- Bachelor's (BS) or Master’s (MS/MSc) in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering – other degrees may be considered with relevant work experience.
- Experience with emulation and system‑level validation for IPs and sub‑systems and ASIC products.
- Emulation build skills and knowledge of at least one emulation system for a subsystem.
- Execution of designs in an emulation platform and knowledge of hardware‑software interplay.
- Knowledge of validation test content using C, C++ etc. and how it can be performed in an emulation‑based system.
- Expertise in hardware behavioral languages (Verilog, System Verilog).
- Exposure to producing validation specifications and documentation describing sophisticated designs.
- Ability to work under time‑scale pressure and meet ambitious targets without compromising on quality.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of computer architecture, system IP, memory subsystem, and accelerator.
- Practical experience working on processor‑based system designs.
Nice To Have Skills And Experience
- Demonstrated understanding of CPU/GPU subsystems in SoC environments and proven expertise in owning validation requirements and validation plans.
- Hands‑on experience validating multiple subsystems for ASICs/SoCs in a system environment (across emulation, FPGA, and development/evaluation boards), owning all phases of validation (test development, execution, and debug) for owned subsystems.
- Understanding of SoC security aspects.
