Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru is seeking a Verification and Validation Engineer to strengthen the Brakes Software team. You will participate in V&V activities, produce verification artifacts, and verify embedded real-time software against SIL standards, while aligning with the V&V cycle and SDLC.

You will also own defect tracking and closure with a focus on quality. Ideal candidates have 2–8 years of hands-on Embedded RT software V&V experience, strong C/C++ and Python skills, and familiarity with

Key Responsibilities

To strengthen our Brakes Software team in Bengaluru, we are now looking for – Verification and Validation Engineer

• Responsible to participate and demonstrate strong skills in V&V activities.
• Responsible for producing verification artifacts.
• Preferable: Responsible for verifying source code with adherence to SIL (Railway Application Standards) standards.
• Understands V&V Cycle and SDLC models.
• Responsible to track and drive closure of defects raised in defect sheets.

Work Experience

Qualification / Requirement

• Bachelor / Masters in Engineering in Computer Science/Software/Electronics/Electrical Engineering
• 2 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Embedded real-time software V&V activities

Required Skills

• Strong technical aptitude, and effective oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated skills in C/ C++, and Python for Embedded application Software
• Experience in the development life cycle (from interpretation of requirements specification through design, development, validation, verification and assessment) of real time software for embedded systems
• Knowledge of the international software railway standards (for example EN 50128, EN 50657, EN50716, IEEE 1558)
• Knowledge of Quality process standards like ISO / CMMI
• Exposure SIL standards for Rail-Road products would be an added advantage
• Knowledge of communication networks and protocols related to railways (MVB, ethernet, CAN) including basic concept of cybersecurity is highly appreciated
• Knowledge of any or all the following software developments tools will be an advantage.

• Demonstrated ability in attention to details
• Ability to develop elevated level of credibility and strong positive relationships with peers and management.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability, capable of working with minimal supervision to define solutions for cross-discipline problems
• Knowledge of Italian / French language is beneficial.
