About the Role

Elevation Capital is looking for an Investment Analyst to join their team in Bangalore. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about the Indian startup ecosystem and venture capital. The role offers exposure to the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and due diligence to portfolio management.

What you’ll do

1. Market research and landscape analysis: Identify emerging trends, disruptive technologies, and potential investment opportunities within India’s startup ecosystem.
2. Sourcing and deal flow management: Proactively identify and engage with promising startups, founders, and industry experts. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of investment opportunities.
3. Due diligence: Conduct thorough financial, commercial, and technical due diligence on potential investments, including market sizing, competitive analysis, business model evaluation, and financial projections.
4. Financial modeling and valuation: Develop detailed financial models, conduct valuation analysis, and prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.
5. Portfolio management: Support portfolio companies post-investment, monitor their performance, and assist with strategic initiatives, follow-on funding rounds, and exit strategies.
6. Networking and relationship building: Build and maintain strong relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, co-investors, and other stakeholders in the VC ecosystem.

Who you are

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field from a top-tier university. An MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
2. Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a high-growth startup environment. Experience in the Indian startup ecosystem is highly preferred.
3. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and present clear, concise recommendations.
4. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
5. Proactive & Self-Starter: Highly motivated, self-driven, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
6. Passion for Startups: A genuine passion for technology, innovation, and the Indian startup ecosystem, with a deep understanding of market trends and emerging business models.
