Job summary

Quess is seeking a Vehicle Performance Engineer to lead fleet validation activities, assessing drive performance, durability and safety across programs. You will collaborate with engineering for system improvements and ensure adherence to company standards.

Job description

Vehicle Performance HMT

• High Mileage Vehicle Fleet Validation to secure product readiness
• Customer Fleet, RAF, Quality in Use Fleet, OBD Fleets, interoperability
• Fleet planning, execution, issue identification and cross functional alignment with stakeholders for issue resolution

Key Responsibilities

• Lead respective fleets from planning till completion
• Vehicle validation in terms of drive performance, durability, reliability, functionalities, safety and quality
• Collaboration with engineering teams for system improvements
• Incorporate company standards and methodologies in every use case
• Issue RCA, Problem Mode verification, report preparations and escalations to program teams for resolutions
• Drive the mileage accumulation in respective fleet modes and route profiles and ensure the milestone target achievement

Essential requirements

• B.E (Mechanical/Automobile) 6-8 years of experience with automotive OEM in durability and reliability validation
• Hands on experience in at least two passenger programs
• Capability in operating and managing large fleet volumes and delivering the program requirements
• Capable to identify functional durability, safety and performance issues with respect to vehicle and Powertrain systems
• Strong understanding of ICE and BEV vehicle systems and durability cycles
• Lead Multi location testing, cross country tests, manager PG and public road testing activities
• Analyze durability data for failure mode and degradation trends
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills (RCA Techniques)
• Lead Cross functional root cause analysis with engineering teams
• Ensure timely closure with proper validation reports
• Knowledge in regulatory requirements and compliance
