Job Purpose/Overview

A dynamic leadership role responsible for driving factory operational performance, leading culture transformation, and developing a high-performing production team. The Production Manager fosters engagement, ownership, accountability, and collaboration while championing operational excellence through continuous improvement and adherence to Mars Principles, Mindset & Behaviours, standards & processes. The role is critical to delivering sustainable business results and embedding the Mars Principles across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety, Quality & Compliance
    • Provides strong operational leadership by ensuring full compliance with Safety, Quality, and Food Safety standards in line with Mars principles, policies, and operating requirements.
    • Ensures robust governance, risk management, and adherence to regulatory and Mars compliance requirements across manufacturing operations.
  • Operational Performance & Cost Management
    • Drives and sustains operational KPIs, including TRS(OEE), Production Schedule Adherence, Material Yield, Value Leadership Savings, Productivity, Efficiency, and other critical operational performance measures.
    • Optimizes manufacturing resources, cost performance, and asset utilization to deliver business targets.
  • Culture, Capability & Strategic Leadership
    • Leads and aligns all Operations Associates with the site strategy, driving engagement, capability development, and execution of annual business plans and objectives.
    • Manages, coaches, and develops Operations Associates while implementing WOW practices that accelerate results delivery; serves as the FMOS(Factory Management Operating System) Leader for plant.
    • Promotes a high-performance culture of engagement, ownership, accountability, and collaboration.
    • Serves as a key member of the Factory Management Team, contributing to strategic decision-making and initiatives that support the plant's desired future state.
    • Demonstrates visible leadership and acts as a role model for Mars Principles, Mindsets & Behaviours
  • Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
    • Fosters and embeds a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset across aspects of operational performance, including KPI delivery, management systems, and ways of working.
    • Leads Operational Excellence initiatives through MWS(Mars Work System), TPM, Lean, and loss elimination methodologies to drive sustainable improvements and world-class manufacturing performance.
    • Works closely with Engineering/Maintenance, QFS, Supply Chain, HR, and Finance teams to resolve operational challenges, deliver business objectives, and drive sustainable improvements.
Job Specifications /Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical/Mechanical/Chemical/Food tech), Or MBA in Operations
  • At least 8-10 years of manufacturing experience, with a proven track record of leading and developing direct reports in reputable organizations.
  • Preferred Candidate could be from a premier engineering college
