The UI/UX Designer is responsible for designing seamless, intuitive, and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile applications. This role requires a deep understanding of user-centred design principles, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity mockups, as well as ensuring that the design is functional, accessible, and aligns with business goals. The UI/UX Designer will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- UX Design and Prototyping: Create wireframes, user flows, journey maps, and prototypes to outline and communicate design ideas for both web and mobile platforms.
- UI Design: Develop high‑fidelity mockups and visual designs with attention to detail, color theory, typography, and branding consistency.
- Interaction Design: Design intuitive and engaging interactions, animations, and microinteractions that enhance the user experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketers, to align design solutions with business goals and technical constraints.
- Design Systems: Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI libraries to ensure consistency across all products and touchpoints.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze usage data and user feedback to refine designs and improve overall user experience.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with a portfolio showcasing a range of successful projects.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Strong understanding of design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Excellent verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts effectively to stakeholders.
Other Requisites
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in an agile environment.
- Experience designing for accessibility (WCAG standards) and familiarity with responsive design best practices.
- Knowledge of motion design and experience with tools like After Effects is a plus.
