Fresenius Medical Care–GBS India Legal Center of Excellence in Bengaluru seeks a paralegal to provide corporate and litigation support for US matters. Responsibilities span matter administration, entity/compliance tasks, contract support, and litigation assistance under US attorney direction.
Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree (paralegal certificate preferred) with US-law experience, strong English, and meticulous organizational skills in a multi‑case environment.
This role provides paralegal-level corporate and litigation support for FME's US legal matters from the GBS India Legal Center of Excellence in Bangalore, handling matter administration, entity/compliance administration, contract execution support and litigation support tasks under the direction of US-based attorneys.
Performs the tasks above independently with limited supervision from supervising attorneys and the Paralegal Manager; may begin to review and guide administrative/entry-level colleagues on routine instances of this work Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex coordination, drafting and administrative matters, often requiring judgment about process and prioritization; escalates matters requiring legal interpretation, litigation strategy, or transaction terms to supervising attorneys Contributions begin to influence team-level process improvements (e.g. legal tracker usage, workflow standardization) but do not set functional strategy Represents FME in routine coordination with external parties (registered agents, banks on KYC matters, document-legalization services) within a clearly defined, attorney-authorized scope Modifies existing administrative and coordination processes to improve efficiency; does not set new firm-wide policy independently.
