Job summary

PwC Acceleration Center India seeks a Data Governance Manager to lead AI governance, risk controls, and compliance initiatives for a diverse client portfolio. You will motivate teams, coach staff through complex workstreams, and apply governance to improve internal controls across AI use cases.

You will oversee multiple workstreams, review deliverables for accuracy, and drive practical, business‑focused governance solutions that meet client needs in a global delivery environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for role.
• Minimum of four years of experience in governance, risk, and compliance.
• Fluent English communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Lead AI governance workstreams for risk and compliance engagements, shaping plans and deliverables.
• Coach team members on governance, control design, and review practices across AI-enabled processes.
• Assess AI governance frameworks, policies, and operating models to identify gaps.
• Direct client discussions on regulatory compliance, internal controls, and risk management for AI use cases.
• Review control documentation, testing approaches, and remediation plans across programs.
• Apply knowledge of compliance frameworks and corporate governance to support client needs.
• Integrate AI fluency and digital tooling into governance activities, including policy reviews.
• Manage workstream execution, performance, and timelines with accountability.

As a Data Governance Manager you will lead client support work focused on AI governance, risk controls, and compliance, helping organizations navigate complex regulatory environments and strengthen internal controls within our Risk and Compliance practice. As a Manager you will motivate and develop teams, coach staff through challenging workstreams, apply sound judgment to project planning and delivery, and use technology and innovation to improve how work is completed. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will oversee multiple workstreams, review deliverables for accuracy and consistency, identify opportunities to improve methods and processes, and bring a practical, business‑focused approach to governance activities that support client needs.

• Leading AI governance workstreams for risk and compliance engagements, shaping project plans, milestones, and deliverables
• Coaching team members on governance, control design, and review practices across AI enabled processes and platforms
• Assessing AI governance frameworks, policies, and operating models to identify control gaps and improvement opportunities
• Directing client discussions on regulatory compliance, internal controls, and risk management for AI use cases
• Reviewing control documentation, testing approaches, and issue remediation plans across AI governance programs
• Applying knowledge of compliance frameworks, corporate governance, and risk analysis to support client needs
• Integrating AI fluency and digital tooling into governance activities, including policy reviews and process mapping
• Managing workstream execution, performance, and timelines while promoting accountability across teams

What You Must Have

• At least a Bachelor's degree
• At least 4 years of experience
• Oral and written proficiency in English required
