  • Conducting patient health assessments, monitoring vital signs, and recording medical histories and symptoms.
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
  • Administering medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed by a physician.
  • Performing hands‑on medical tasks, such as changing wound dressings, inserting IVs, and assisting with various medical procedures and diagnostic tests.
  • Providing pre‑ and post‑operative care.
  • Ensuring patient comfort, nutrition, and personal hygiene, including feeding helpless patients and providing general bedside care.
  • Coordinating with doctors and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary care.
  • Communicating clearly and effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, conditions, and at‑home care instructions.
  • Providing emotional and psychological support to patients and their relatives.
  • Conducting rounds with doctors and relaying important information about a patient's condition.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records, charts, and electronic health records (EHRs).
  • Documenting all nursing actions, patient observations, and any irregularities to ensure continuity of care between shifts.
  • Assisting with the logistical aspects of patient care, such as admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
  • Ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment for patients and staff by following infection control protocols.
